FAQ
My antivirus flagged the launcher or dinput8.dll
Some antivirus programs flag new launchers they have not seen before, and the game's dinput8.dll in the game folder, which the Sharp client needs to run. These are false positives.
Add an exception for the Sharp launcher and for your game folder, then restore the file if it was quarantined (or let the launcher repair the game files).
Can I start TERA.exe directly?
No. The game must be started from the Sharp launcher. It updates the files, signs you in and starts the client with the right settings; starting the game any other way will not get you onto the server.
Do I need administrator rights?
No. The launcher installs per user. Choose a game folder you can write to, for example on another drive or inside your user folder, rather than C:\Program Files.
Can I use a patch 100 client I already have?
No. Let the launcher download its own copy into an empty folder. Clients from other servers have different files and will break things on Sharp.
The download stopped or the game will not start
Restart the launcher; it picks up where it left off and verifies the files before you play. If that does not help, ask on Discord with a screenshot of the error.
